A Master Mechanic
Saves the Day
Before I get started on today's
issue, there's an updated version available for the Desktop Marketer reader. This addresses
some of the issues that have popped up since Windows XP released service pack 2. You can download the reader
here. (http://www.ecommerceconfidential.com/Ecommerce-Confidential.exe)
If you're not familiar with Desktop Marketer, this is a piece of software that lets you get this ezine right on your desktop. No more worrying about missing an issue or
having it accidently end up in the spam folder. If you'd like to try it, download the free application from the above link. Then double-click on the file and it installs very
quickly. Ok, let's get started...
It turns out that many of
you are Mercedes fans. I've gotten lots of
emails from subscribers telling me about their
Mercedes dream car. And everyone asks, "So did
you buy the Mercedes?"
I didn't. And I'm really glad. Fortunately, I made a
decision that saved me from walking off a cliff financially.
I've really done my homework on these cars. The late
80's Mercedes sedans are like a Rolls Royce. But they need to be taken care of.
I'd found what I thought was the perfect car. It's owned by a fairly well-off
gentleman that's owned several of these cars. This one was his wife's and he
took it into the shop every time she heard the tiniest noise. He had the
receipts to prove it.
This is exactly the kind of car the experts recommend you look for. I totally
fell in love with the car.
The car looked flawless. When I test drove it, I noticed a couple of what I
believed to be minor problems. The online Mercedes gurus all recommended I have
a Mercedes Master Mechanic check it out before hand. Not just any mechanic but
someone that knows these cars inside and out.
My wife loved the car and thought I was crazy but I
booked an appointment and paid for the two hour inspection. Long story short,
this car had so many hidden problems that the repair bill could run as high as
$10,000!
The owner of the shop did the inspection himself. Besides giving me the bad
news, he had lots of great Mercedes shopping advice for me. He went over the car
with me, pointed out problem areas, things easily fixed and warning signs. I
really got my money's worth.
My wife admits that maybe I'm not so crazy after all. Hiring an expert was
definitely the right thing to do.
It's a similar story when it comes to your website. Whether you're launching a
new website or trying to fix one that's not performing well, it helps to bring
in an expert.
You need a specialist. Not a web designer or a copywriter but a Master Site
Reviewer. Someone that knows commercial websites like the back of their hand.
So where would you go to find a Master Site Reviewer? I don't know... maybe
MasterSiteReviewer.com? :)
Seriously, just like the
Mercedes specialist that just saved me from
making a huge mistake, I can help you with your
website. Rather than trying the latest traffic
gizmo or buying a mailing list, let me take a
look under the hood.
You can even get me to give you a quick
evaluation for free. See MasterSiteReviewer.com
for details.
This week's video review
is for a product that helps you keep track of
all your affiliate links, passwords and even
your ebooks.
That's it for now. See you next Friday.
Have a great weekend!
All the best,
Bill Hibbler
